Foundation Course
11-18 July 2026 with Johannes Källman

During the Foundation Course week we pass the 17 Vedic Principles of Art and Life. The starting point is your own inner motivation. You put pen to paper and then the creation process goes into full expansion. It is very simple. The only thing that can be a bit difficult is to stop painting! You always book the entire course going for a week from Saturday to Saturday.
The Foundation Course is for you who have not done Vedic Art courses before or only gone through parts of the Foundation Course. Foundation Courses on Öland always follow the original program that the founder of Vedic Art, Curt Källman, created. No prior art experience is required to attend the course.
Feel free to bring your own painting material or visit the local Vedic Art Artist Shop. Colors and painting materials are not included in the course fee. Painting material such as acrylic paint, canvases, brushes and other tools can thus be bought on site. Källman’s own wonderful tempera paint will also be available for purchase. All you actually need to bring is yourself!
Course fee: €490. The course includes access to the Art Studio from Saturday night to Saturday morning.
Continuation Course
11-18 July 2026 with Johannes Källman

The Continuation Course is for you who have completed the whole Foundation Course and learned all the 17 principles. You can join Continuation Courses as many times as you like. You always book the entire course week from Saturday to Saturday. You are welcome to stay for as many weeks as you want! You will have plenty of time to enjoy the Island of Öland. Completing the Continuation course is required for applying for the Teacher Training.

Back to the Point
18-25 July 2026 with Maryse Alen

Back to the Point. Coming into manifestation and returning to the unmanifest, are two universal movements that we might call going out and coming home. In this course, we observe and follow that natural law. You will reach the outer limits of expansion, to come home in Unity and slowly return to the point of silence within yourself and your creation. You dive into stillness and touch the deep ocean water, where all the principals are one. During the process you can experience how 'to be' with your painting beyond words and thoughts. From the point of silence, you come in movement again, inspired and supported by the deep contact with your inner source and the 17 principles.

The Six Vedangas

The Vedangas are aspects of Vedic philosophy. In Vedic Art, the Vedangas are related to art, life and the 17 Principles. The Six Vedangas: All-Knowing, Expressing, Measuring, Transforming, Self-Referral, Expanding. Tools to navigate your personal development and expand your consciousness. The course, developed by Curt Källman, offers a holistic approach that brings you closer into your inner being. This is an Advanced course for those who have completed the Foundation and Continuation courses.

LOVE

Art and the Seventeen Principles' path to love and passion. Love without conditions, demands and fears in art and life. During the course we delve into the various expressions of love that are defined in both Vedic and ancient Greek philosophy. The course also highlights characteristics in human nature that limit love, which we can free ourselves from. During the course we relate the theme of love to both life, art and the seventeen principles. For love of our fellow human beings, to creation and to ourselves. A course with Johannes Källman, developed by Curt Källman. With a painting brush in our hand, with a direction towards love and passion in life! "Kama" means love in Sanskrit. According to the Vedas, love is one of the four fundamental drives in human life.

For those of you who regularly participate in courses for at least three weeks each summer. During October AND November 2025, we offer you the opportunity to apply for reduced price for three weeks of course participation with studio from July 11 to August 1, 2026. The number of places is limited. The offer does not give access to sculpture courses or teacher training.
Our full week courses – start and end times
All our course levels have start up meetings on Saturdays at 7:00 PM. Check in at your studio space on Saturday after 1 PM. The lectures are held on Sunday-Friday. Departure time is on Friday night or Saturday morning before 11:00 AM.
Our International Art Studio is located in the Village Näsby - close to the ocean. Free access to the Art Studio is included Saturday-Saturday. Our courses are held during a period of one week. You find the prices in the course programs below.
Artist material
All kinds of artist material is available for purchase at our shop in Gamlegärde. Located 5 kilometers from our course venue. We offer artist canvas, acrylic paint, painting brushes and more. We accept credit card and debit card.
